Ladner, Joshua_Salon J Ladner_2Following the success of Salon J Ladner’s grand opening in downtown Dayton this past January, Boots 2 Business graduate Joshua Ladner is now planning to expand Salon J from the original 700 sq. ft. location in the St. Clair Lofts, to a 3,000 sq. ft. corner business space at 45 S. St. Clair Street. The new location is planned to include spa facilities for manicures and pedicures, massage, facials, waxing and even a small coffee bar.

The planned renovation is expected to take four months and will continue specializing in Paul Mitchell salon products and services. Drawing from his editorial and styling experiences, the décor will incorporate a mixture of modern and rustic themes where guests can relax and experience the Hair Journey culture. The previous 700 sq. ft. space will be reinvented into the Downtown Dayton Partnership Pop-Up Project, with plans for further retail development with another local entrepreneur.

Adding to his already impressive resume as Owner and Creative Director of Salon J Ladner, Joshua recently worked as a production manager for New York Fashion Week, is the current OutServe Magazine Fashion & Style Editor, and was nominated earlier this month for the national, 7th annual Shorty’s Awards, with winners announced on April 2015 in New York City. The award recognizes individuals who produce relevant, groundbreaking and interesting content in the social web, including sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr.
